The barn at Klingle Farm is seen in the background. This farm was in the midst of the battle and eventually the owners had to leave. After the third day of battle the owners returned, only to find many of their posessions gone or destroyed. There were many dead soldiers in and around the farm. The owner filed a claim for just over $800 in damages; however, the claim was denied. This shot is taken from Cemetery Ridge, where the Union soldiers held their ground against the attack of the Confederate Army.
